Why should we book this Villa instead of a hotel room?
There are many reasons, Freedom, privacy, space, executive luxury and your very own pool. These are just some of the reasons why people prefer the comfort of staying in a privately owned Villa compared to the typical hotel rooms, all of which have a shared bathroom & shared facilities. As you can see from our Photo gallery, our Villa is huge with 3221 square feet of living accommodation and 4438 square feet in total. We have tried to cater for all our guests needs and have given our home the WOW factor. We have been holidaying in Orlando since 2005 and have always stayed in a private Villa; we expect 5 star luxury and that is how we have furnished our home for our guests to enjoy.
What are the advantages of booking direct with the owner?
You can see exactly the house that you are booking so there are no surprises after you arrive! It is cost effective as you are dealing direct with the owner and cutting out the middle man (travel and tour operators). We know our villa and the area thoroughly and we can answer most if not all of your questions.
Who looks after the villa and what do we do if something goes wrong?
The villa is looked after by our friendly and professional management team. Their contact details are visibly displayed within the villa and they are on call for emergency’s 24 hrs a day, so there is no need to worry as help is always at hand and only a phone call away.
What safety/security features are there?
The villa is has a fully monitored alarm system and if triggered this generates an emergency call to the Police who will be on site within minutes. You should feel totally safe at The Shire as access to the community is controlled by electronic gates and monitored by CCTV with a number-plate tagging system.
How many people can stay at the villa?
Our Villa can sleep up to 10 adults comfortably plus there is a cot available. There is also a convertible settee, if required, for an extra two people.
How do I book?
You can contact us stating the dates you require and we will reply to you with your personal quotation confirming availability and provide a booking form with terms and conditions. Or check our availability calendar, and complete and submit our booking form found Here
How do I secure my booking?
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total rental cost is required to secure your booking along with the completed & signed booking form.
What security deposit do you require?
A fully refundable security deposit of £300/$400 is required along with your rental payment. The Security deposit payment is normally returned within 14 days of your departure as long as no damage, missing items or abuse of our terms and conditions has been reported.
We also offer our guests an optional $80 accidental damage insurance cover, which is paid to our management company. This gives you peace of mind and covers you for $3000 of accidental damage. This is proving extremely popular with our guests, please contact us for details.
When is my full payment due?
Full payment is due 10 weeks before your arrival.. We will endeavour to send you a reminder nearer this time. If you are booking with less than 10 weeks to arrival then the full payment including security deposit will be due immediately.
What method of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by cheque/check, bank transfer, credit card.. Please note that there is an admin charge of 4.0% for payments via credit card, unfortunately this is what the facility costs us.
What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation of the booking must be received in writing:
More than 10 weeks notice: Your full deposit is forfeited
Less than 10 weeks notice: 100% of the rental charge
When do we receive directions & access instructions to the villa?
Full directions including address and our Villa information pack will be sent to you once the full payment of your rental has been received.
What time is check in and check out?
Check in is after 1600 hrs
Check out is before 1000 hrs
We can sometimes depending on your flight times offer a Early Check-In or Late Check-Out, this will be strictly by prior arrangement; please contact us for details.
How do we get the keys?
We have a keyless entry system so there is no need for you to worry about keys. No matter what time you arrive after check in time you will have access to the house. Further details will be sent to you before you travel.
Do I need travel insurance?
As with all holidays/vacations we strongly advise you get full travel/medical insurance, preferably as soon as you have made your booking. We advise that this insurance covers you for cancellation of independently booked accommodation and for non US residents full medical insurance.
What community facilities are there?
For guests staying at The Shire there is access to the clubhouse with resort style swimming pool, two tennis courts, a volley ball court and an air conditioned gym.
Are all towels and linen included?
Yes all towels and linens are included and we provide beach/pool towels
What child safety features do you have for the Pool?
A pool safety fence is provided around the pool area.
Are there any shops and restaurants close by?
The Shire really is an excellent location; within a few minutes is Champions Gate village. This is an upmarket area with a Publix supermarket, hairdressers, off-license, a banks with ATM's, Nail Bar, Walgreens pharmacy, takeaway outlets, restaurants and two gas stations. Posner Park a newly opened Shopping complex is only a short drive away. There are lots of excellent restaurants to choose from and these are all within a 10 minute drive.
We are Golfers are there any courses nearby?
Staying at the Shire, you are at the centre of a Golfers paradise, there are lots of quality courses to choose from. A favorite is Celebration, this is a remarkable course and is only a 10 minute drive from our Villa. There are lots of excellent courses to choose from. The two Champions Gate courses are literally a 2 minute drive from our Villa. Other courses of note are, Highlands Reserve, Orange lake, Mystic Dunes, Falcons Fire and Southern Dunes these are all within easy reach. If you don’t fancy any of these there are many more to choose from.
Do you allow smoking?
For the comfort of our guests we have a strict NO Smoking policy inside & outside of the house. Although you may smoke in the garden area as long as you dispose of the stubs/butts responsibly.
Do you allow pets?
No, sorry we do not allow pets.
Can I access the internet at your villa?
Yes we have FREE super-fast Wi-Fi for our guests, so bring along your I phone, I Pad, mobile or Laptop and hook up to the internet.
Do you have a music system?
Yes we have provided a state of the art IHome music speaker system. Once you have connected your Iphone, Ipad etc. to our Wi-Fi you will automatically be connected to the IHome. This will enable you to play all your favourite music from your device through the speaker system. This is an amazing system.
Is there a hairdryer?
Yes, we have provided a hair dryer in each of our 4 bathrooms, so no need to pack yours, keep that space in your suitcases for your return after enjoying your Florida shopping!
